DR. RAMEGOWDA BELAKERE AND DR.JAYANTHI RAMU HAVE COME FORWARD TO HOST A VPA HEALTH SCREEN DURING THE 11TH VPA CONVENTION. THE EVENT IS TO BE SPONSORED BY THE JAYANTHI RAMU FAMILY PRACTICE.


The plan is do a comprehensive health screening. This involves, BP screening, screening fasting/random blood sugar with chemistry and cholesterol, and weight screening including body mass index(BMI). Lab results will be provided on the same day which also follows recommendations and follow up visits. This will also include literature related to health issues such as Diabetes, Hypertension and Obesity. Dr. Ramegowda has also volunteered to do a Random Health survey - Pilot study of all the attendees of the convention. Both doctors love for research and their concerns about health issues of our community triggered this pilot study. This provides a great opportunity for us to have an introspection of burning health issues that are affecting our community.
